Narcolepsy is a chronic neurological disorder marked by excessive daytime sleepiness, sleep paralysis, and cataplexy. Armodafinil is thought to increase wakefulness and alertness by modulating neurotransmitters involved in regulating the body's natural sleep-wake cycle.
